    WELCOME
to the DAR in Reidsville, NC

The DAR is a volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children.

The Reidsville Chapter of the NSDAR was named for Captain William Bethell, Sr. (1744-1804) who served as Captain of the North Carolina militia and fought in the battle of Guilford Court House.  After the Revolutionary War Captain Bethell  represented Rockingham County in the North Carolina House and Senate for a number of years. Upon his return to Rockingham County in 1792, Captain Bethell served as Clerk  of Court until his death.

Chapter meetings are held at 2:00 PM, on the second  Saturday of each month, September through May in the Reidsville, NC area. Invited guests of current DAR members and prospective members are always welcome. Please send  email with your name and telephone number for monthly meeting locations.
